To "More & More" Twice Music: 3 Years of "MORE & MORE"

On this day 3 years ago, Twice released their 9th mini-album MORE & MORE along with the title track of the same name!

Since its release, the music video has earned 338 million views, and "MORE & MORE" reached 181,657,519 plays on Spotify. At the time of its release in 2020, More & More broke Twice's previous records of pre-order sales and passed 500,000 sales! Twice has grown significantly since then, with their newest 12th mini-album Ready To Be reaching close to 2 million pre-orders this year.

2020 was a year of further reinvention for Twice, as both MORE & MORE and Eyes Wide Open were released. The title tracks for both mini-albums, "MORE & MORE" and "I Can't Stop Me," steered Twice in a musical direction they haven't gone to before. The fact that MORE & MORE and Eyes Wide Open followed FANCY YOU and Feel Special solidified the fact that Twice's music was maturing just as the members were.

Not only did "MORE & MORE's" refreshing sound catch the attention of ONCE, but the song's difficult choreography also stood out!

When the mini-album came out, the Twice members all said that "MORE & MORE" had the most difficult choreography they'd had so far. Even with new releases now, Twice occasionally still reference back to "MORE & MORE's" choreography as a comparison of how difficult the dance is.

In addition to "MORE & MORE," the 9th mini-album also has tracks such as "OXYGEN," "FIREWORK," "MAKE ME GO," "SHADOW," "DON'T CALL ME AGAIN," and "SWEET SUMMER DAY," all with their own unique sound. Nayeon wrote "MAKE ME GO," while Chaeyoung and Jeongyeon were co-writers on "SWEET SUMMER DAY!"
