Record-breaking Latin pop group RBD is having a tour this year after their disbandment in late 2008/early 2009. The group and five of its original members-- Anahí, Dulce María, Christian Chavez, Maite Perroni and Christopher von Uckermann-- will perform for 26 days across the United States, Mexico, and Brazil!
RBD gained their popularity in 2004 through the telenova Rebelde. In the series, the actors played in a band that transcended the screens. From the span of 2004-2009, the group sold over 15 million records, were nominated for major awards such as the Latin Grammys, and topped numerous charts.

In an interview with Billboard, the members revealed their thoughts about reuniting for this upcoming tour. Maite Perroni said, “It’s a new era that makes us really excited and it’s a new opportunity to share the stage once again and feel a unique energy." Perroni explained that the disbandment in 2009 allowed the RBD members to dedicate more time and energy to their careers as actors and musicians and, "Now, the time [for the reunion] is perfect because [RBD is] now more conscious, more mature, [RBD will] enjoy it from a different perspective now as adults.”
RBD's "Soy Rebelde" Tour will kick off on August 25th in El Paso, Texas, and will end on December 1st in Mexico City! According to Billboard Boxscore, RBD's last tour sold over 1.5 million tickets and generated a gross of $72.5 million. With so much excitement over "Soy Rebelde," RBD could reach these numbers again and even surpass them!
Tickets for RBD's "Soy Rebelde" tour go on sale through Live Nation on January 27th with presale from January 24th-26th!
