Widely successful and beloved country artist Dolly Parton teased some collaborations on her upcoming rock album during an appearance on ABC's January 17th broadcast of The View.

After her induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Parton said on The View that she is currently working on a rock & roll album with features from some rock icons she met during her induction! She commented that the reason she's making this album is because, "If you insist on giving [the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction] to me, I'm going to take it. If I'm going to be in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, I'm going to have to do something to earn it. So I'm doing a rock & roll album!"

Parton shared with The View hosts that the artists singing with her on the album are Paul McCartney, Stevie Nicks, Steven Tyler, Steve Perry, Pink, Miley Cyrus, Brandi Carlile, and more. While not confirmed yet, Parton stated that she hopes to get Mick Jagger and Cher on the album as well. On the topic of getting Mick Jagger to sing on her recording, she said "I'm doing my best to get him on," and for Cher, Parton explained, "I'm maybe going to have Cher on and, you know, getting a song for her. We've been trying to get the right thing together."

Parton also said to The View that the album will include covers of legendary rock songs. Host Joy Behar implied in a question that the future rock album will have covers of tracks such as "Stairway to Heaven" by Led Zeppelin and "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction" by the Rolling Stones. Parton even divulged that Pink and Brandi Carlile will be singing "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction" with her!

There is no set date yet for Parton's rock album, currently titled "Rock Star", but we can expect to hear it later this year. We can't wait to experience what it sure to be a history-making recording!
